sweet hour of prayer

i really enjoyed our prayer time this morning. every sunday at 8:30 a.m., we gather to pray. "we" are few. today we were more than ever, which was encouraging. but even more encouraging than that was the sweet spirit of prayer...expressing total dependence on our God...an 85-year old saintly woman, a 24-year old zealous young man, a middle-aged couple...all of us enjoying what the old hymn called a "sweet hour of prayer...that calls me from a world of care...". thank you, Lord, for the gift of prayer. how amazing that we can communicate with the Almighty. we love you, Lord!
